About the Author
Jean Bellair is a dedicated educator with 19 years of experience in elementary education and reading instruction. Her personal experience with her daughter's Type 1 Diabetes inspired her to write about the challenges and successes of children facing similar health issues. Her passion for working with children and her commitment to helping them succeed shines through her writing and her career in education.
KIDS WHO MAKE
It’s happening! Registration is open for Kids Who Make (a junior maker’s market) happening on August 6th.
Do a young creative who loves making art, keychains, cookies, bath bombs, or something else? Are they interested in setting up and selling their goods? This is the event for them - a craft fair for kids!
Kids ages 5-16 will set up their tables inside various Lemont small businesses, learn how to display and price their goods, engage their customers and take payment.
Last year, some of our makers even ended up on a daytime news segment!
We are even offering “Kids Who Make” t-shirts this year!

Who’s ready to paw-ty??!
After the most fun CATurday event earlier this year, the puppy lovers demanded equal opportunity! So we’ve teamed up with Ruby Whiskers Animal Rescue to bring you an afternoon filled with real snuggly, sweet puppies looking for a home and that’s just the beginning!
